On the Railway Zone, 

the Southern Corridor project also consists of the construction of a railway line with an estimated length of four hundred and twenty kilometers (420 KM) linking the Port of Konta to the bauxite plateaus of the Kindia and Mamou regions, (the “Railway”) including all the infrastructure and equipment necessary for its operation;

The project in a few figures

Total length of the route approximately 420 km in two phases

  • Future transport capacity of developments: 60 Million per year.

  • Number of Wagon 1500 units/ 40 locomotives.

  • Construction of railway poles: maintenance pole, training pole,…

  • Number of structures: 20 Crossing bridges - 2 tunnels

Construction of the railway line between the southern mining basin and the port of Konta (140 km)
